Yes, always! Your pup receives 100% of my attention from the moment they arrive until they go home, with no other dogs being groomed or waiting alongside them.
Sugarcoats is a private, home-based grooming studio, designed to provide all the care and services you would expect from a traditional salon, but in a quieter and more controlled environment. Your dog has their own dedicated grooming space without the busy salon atmosphere, barking dogs, constant foot traffic, or unnecessary distractions.
The result is a more personal grooming experience where I can work at your dog's pace, pay close attention to their comfort and body language, and give them the individual care they deserve.
Same professional grooming services. A calmer, more private experience.

Pricing is based on breed, size, coat type, coat condition, behavior, and the service chosen. Matting fees may apply.

Yes — severe matting requires additional time, tools, and safety measures. Details are outlined in the Matting Policy.
-
Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice are subject to a fee.
No-shows are charged the full appointment cost.
-
Your dog’s safety and wellbeing come first. If a groom must be shortened or stopped due to stress, fear, or behavior, you will only be charged for the work completed. Sometimes breaking up a groom over a few days / week can be beneficial for highly stressed / reactive dogs.
-
If fleas are discovered during the groom, a flea-cleaning fee will apply and the groom may be rescheduled depending on severity.
-
I work with anxious dogs, reactive dogs, and dogs who need a softer approach — but not with dogs who pose a safety risk. We’ll discuss this during your intake.
-
No, every grooming appointment includes a bath. Bathing is essential for achieving the best grooming results, maintaining coat health, and preventing damage to professional grooming tools.

At Sugarcoats, we believe anal gland expression should only be performed by a licensed veterinary professional. For this reason, we do not offer anal gland expression services. However, if we notice signs that your dog may require gland care, we will let you know so you can follow up with a qualified veterinary professional.
